Trying to record your flute but the neighbor decides to mow the lawn, your A/C kicks in or any number of extraneous noises cause you problems? Did you know you probably own a sound booth but didnt consider it? Its true! The next time you want to record your flute and need absolute silence just go out and sit in your car. Your automobile can be a perfect sound booth, especially at night when the neighborhood is quiet. Being sealed, it will block most sound outside the car. Take your recorder outside, get in your car and play away! You may want to sit in the back seat where it is more roomy. Just move the front seats forward and make yourself a little space to do your recordings. Later if you need reverb or echo you can import the sound files into a audio editing program and add effects. If your car is large enough you may be able to get an amplifier/effects machine in there with you. Give it a try, you may be amazed at how you can get perfect recordings with practice. ~ Jay Michael
