Trying to understand the status of women candidates for the next Samoa election. OK, there will be at least 5 women MPs. If women candidates dont get in then the women with the highest votes get in. How will they do this? If say woman A candidate gets 50 votes out of 200 for her constituent and another woman B gets 100 votes out of 1000 in her constituent, who gets into Parliament? By ratio or by numbers ? Its obvious that woman A gets a quarter of her constituents vote whilst B gets about 10%....funny how nothing is explained on these issues in the local media !!
