Tsunamis and Revival I would like to share some things that are just opening up. What God has been speaking is intertwined with the vision about the spiritual tsunami that was recently posted here on Testimonies of Divine Intervention. First, here are a couple of quotes from that post: But some of what has been hidden is not sin, though it’s similarly hidden in the depths. One dark bundle, as the owner carefully scraped away layers of black guck, revealed a gold wristwatch, which he carefully cleaned, then put onto his wrist. Another uncovered a red and white music box, it still played its tune when she lifted the lid. One young man was working on a black mess larger than himself, which eventually disclosed a white surfboard with three short rudders in its tail. The following is the word that is opening up. Revival Ive never much liked the word revival. For me, it has always had connotations of trying to breath life into something that God has passed by. I have always perceived the moving of God in this hour as, Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it (Isa. 43:19)? I have continually looked for something new and fresh in the earth, not a revival of something old. Today, my perspective has changed. All the great movements of the past began with a spark from God. From Hus and Luther right down through the centuries to the Pentecostal and Holiness movements of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, God has always birthed a present revelation of Himself. Now, I am not advocating trying to go back and imitate or re-create any of the past movements of God. What began with men like Hus, Luther, the Wesley brothers, William Booth, and many, many others eventually degenerated into man-governed institutions. These systems cannot be revived because they were never alive to begin with. But consider this: Nothing created by the Spirit of God ever dies. The anointing and fire that burned in the hearts of the early saints remains. What has always driven men and women of God, even to the point of dying as martyrs, has been the moving of God in their generation. The seed of every movement ever generated by God is still alive, though lying dormant. Its not the spawned movements that are to be revived, but the seed from which they sprang. We are in the season of revival. Its the time to revive a seed that has been lying dormant. Who is going to revive the seed? Isa. 6: 1 ¶ In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. 2 Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called out to another and said, Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory. 4 And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. 5 ¶ Then I said, Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. 7 He touched my mouth with it and said, Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven. 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Here am I. Send me! These verses are indicative of where we stand today. God is purging, purifying, and refining. And to what end? That there may be a response to the question posed in verse 8. Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Isaiah cried out, Here I am, send me! The cry of Isaiah must be our cry as well. Its time for revival. Not a revival of a particular movement, but of the seed that inspired them all! End. Comment on spiritual tsunami post as related to the revival message. The seed I speak of can also be expressed as the things hidden on the ocean floor that are covered in mud and muck, but are good things, not evil. The mud and muck are the human institutions that have covered up the initial spark of revelation that inspired the subsequent moves of God. Seeds of spiritual revolution and change are lying on the ocean floor waiting for someone to carefully cleanse them from the mud of Adamic influence. When we peel away the mud and muck that is denominationism and soulish religion, we find that beautiful gold watch, the red and white music box that still plays, and the white surf board. We utterly reject the Adamic natures corruption of what began as a divine spark. We wholeheartedly embrace the hidden seed from which all spiritual movements have been birthed.
