Tsurikawa. It originated from Japan. These straps are well known to indicate the ride height of the Bosozoku cars. Started amongst the Bozosoku crowd. They were stolen from Trains in Japan and placed on your car pretty much just to show how badass you are (which is pretty much what all of Bosozoku is based around, badassness) And secondly, they were using to show how low you were. The lower your Tsurikawa is to the ground, the better. so if you have tsurikawa dapat kita ride height kung gano kababa. What makes it cool, however, was that Tsurikawas became a sign of rebellion. Members of the Bosozoku (Japans anti-establishment street gangs) would steal Tsurikawas and blatantly hang them off their cars rear bumpers; ideally dragging them on the ground until they disintegrate. This obviously was illegal and by flaunting one in public on your car was a subtle way of giving the middle finger to society. Since then, hardcore Japanese car enthusiasts have taken to rocking a Tsurikawa as an expression of the freedom it represents. It became such as trend that you can actually buy different Tsurikawa styles from a car accessory shop these days. But if you want to be true to the spirit, a real Tsurikawa cant be bought and has to be picked.
