Tubbercurry Golf Club Notes Week Commencing Sept 22nd Gorman Tool Hire Well done to Ronan Forkan, winner of the Michael Gorman tool hire sponsored 18 hole stableford on Sunday. Ronan produced a stunning level par round to finish on a score of 39 points. Gerry Connolly a former Mullinabrenna Gaa star finished second on 39 points (back 3) while Michael Kelly the Jose Mourinho of Tubbercurry Gaa finished third on 39 points.. Next Week Next week’s competition is sponsored by East West Express (James Marren), this competition can only be played on Sunday Connacht Shield Curra West will take a lead of 4-1 into the second leg of the connacht shield final in Tubbercurry next Saturday. Mark Burke and Damien Moran were the stars for Tubbercurry claiming victory on the 17th hole. With all games going to the wire (lost 3 on 17 and 1 on 19) it is all to play for next Saturday. Tee off next Saturday is at 11:45, get to the course early as a huge crowd is expected for this much anticipated second leg. Birmingham Irish Emigrants in Golf Club Last weekend Tubbercurry golf club entertained a group of Irish emigrants who reside at Monicas Homes in Birmingham, the event was organised by Harold McManus and a great day of fun and craic was enjoyed by all. Course EGM The club will hold an EGM in relation to proposed changes to the course. The EGM will take place on Friday Oct 3rd at 8:30pm in the clubhouse.
