Tucson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its eighth annual Family Festival in the Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. November 16. Tons of family activities are on the agenda, including stage entertainment, carnival games, inflatables, climbing wall, crafts, golf clinic, tennis games, a tour of the rose garden, and pottery and drawing demonstrations by the leisure class unit. There will also be free admission to the Reid Park Zoo and free swimming from noon to 4 p.m. at the Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center. Free ten minute golf instruction will be offered by Tucson City Golf at the Randolph Driving Range from 10 a.m. to noon. Food will be available for purchase from a variety of local food vendors. The event is free, but, Tucson Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Community Food Bank of Arizona and is taking donations of canned goods. The Lions Club is also going to be there, accepting donations of old prescription eye glasses.
