Tue. 16/7/2013 Earnestly Contend For The Faith Jude 1-4 For any Christian who has worked for God to be rewarded in heaven, he or she must do one thing, among many others, which is to earnestly contend for the faith of the Lord Jesus that has been delivered to him or her. Jude’s words are warning to believers to beware of false teachers who have made their way into local assemblies and would destroy, if possible, the foundation of faith on which the church is built. The faith believers are to contend for and defend is the body of truths taught by Jesus and the apostles. It is only those believers who keep, protect and to everything possible to uphold the faith of Jesus to the end that shall be rewarded. Are you defending and upholding the faith of the gospel?
