Tue. 9/7/2013 God Gives Good Gifts Matt. 7:7-11 Though Jesus was talking here in the context of prayer, yet we can learn one lesson that is relevant to the focus of our lesson. Jesus said if parents, who are not perfect, who are good today and fall unto error tomorrow, know how to give good gifts to their children, how much more will God give good things (gifts) to those who ask Him? What Jesus is saying in essence is that God gives good and perfect gifts to His children. This means there is no gift given by God that can be termed inferior, all of God’s gifts are superior. No wonder the writer of James says “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (Jam. 1:17). Have you received these good gifts from God? Point of Emphasis: There is no inferior in any of God’s given gifts Prayer Points: Lord, give me Your good and perfect gifts (mention the ones you want) AMEN IN JESUS NAME
