Tuesday, 10th September, 2013. DILIGENCE: PIVOT TO GREATNESS “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29. Diligence is the pivot upon which greatness in life revolves. In as much as greatness is your birthright, you also need to be a hard worker because no lazy man has a future in the kingdom. Living without working is like dying without knowing. You will never be great in life if you are not a hard-worker. The blessings of God flow through the works of your hands. His promises are coupled with human responsibilities. When God told Abraham “I will make you great and your name very great” the Bible says: “So Abraham departed…”(Gen12:4). He didn’t depart only to continue sleeping and waking up. No! He departed and started rearing cattle. Not long after in Gen 13:2, the Bible records that, “Abraham was very rich in cattle, in silver and in gold”. Jesus our master was a hard-worker! He has set the pace; so emulate Him. One thing is sure; you need to work real hard before you can ride on the wings of greatness. QUOTE: There is no greatness for a lazy man. WORD OF PRAYER: Lord, baptize me with the spirit of diligence in all I do in Jesus’ name. Amen!
