Tuesday, 13th August HE REJOICES OVER YOU! “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17) It is so amazing to see the beautiful heart of our heavenly Father from the scriptures. Some folks think God is out there to judge and condemn them. But that’s not true of Him. It is the devil who accuses. Our Father is Love, and we are the objects of His loving heart. You know when you love someone; you’d always want to be with them. Now, this is the same reason God has come to dwell in you, because He loves you. The Bible says that the Lord our God in the midst of us is mighty! His might is not only in the wonders of creation; the greatest focus of His might is in the expression of His love towards you through the death and resurrection of Christ. He is mighty in love, mighty to save. We are surrounded by the ocean of His love. When you meditate on this, nothing in the world would be able to make you afraid or worried, because you know that the Greatest of all loves you greatly. We are always surrounded by the presence of His mighty love. Hallelujah! Another beautiful character we see in our Father is Joy! His love produces joy. “Do you mean God Almighty rejoices? Emphatically Yes! ‘Over what’ you may ask? – Over you!” God is excited about you, His love for you makes Him joyous over you. He has emotions, and joy is a big one, for He rejoices over you His beloved child! God loves you as much as He loves Jesus. You are so special to Him. His love is set upon you, you are His joy and His love. And He sings about you, love songs. For through the victory of His Son Jesus, He won you, and now you are forever His love. Let His love provoke your heart of love towards Him too. For we love Him, because He first loved us. Confession: I lift my voice, my hands and heart in worship to you Lord. I sing a song of praise, of your mercies and your grace, for you are my Joy Lord, you are my Strength Lord, you are my Love, my Savior and my King. So I rejoice in you!
