Tuesday 15 April 2014 - Roll Up Like the gathering of the clans more people are arriving to enjoy the lovely Murcian weather over Easter and taking part in our roll ups. 18 players today in great conditions for golf although once again the very popular El Valle course was busy causing some slow play and a long round of golf which led to a pleasant early evening get together on the terrace afterwards. Athole MacDonald took the plaudits for being the only player sporting his society golf shirt but lost out in the golf to his allegedly younger, silver haired, Richard Gere lookalike brother Fraser....much ribald joking about the golf afterwards. Solid golf by all the other players clearly feeling the course ready for Saturdays competition. Nice to welcome back Rene Hogsted, Carl Rhymer, Ray Marks from Mosa and Vinods friend Anthony Mallon. Playing groups and tee times, for the now 38 competitors, for Saturdays competition will be published on Friday evening and tickets for the BBQ will be on sale during Saturday from the bar. At the moment a cloudy 28 degrees is forecast for Saturday.
