Tuesday 26th our meeting will celebrate the Trevor Church Memorial Scholarship. Trevor Church was the first principal of Maeroa Intermediate School and a member of our Club. The scholarship has been in existance for about 56 years and in November each year a year 8 student is selected from the finalists put forward by the school. We look forward to meeting the group of boys and their families at our meeting and presenting the winner with his award. This years winner will join the past scholars many of whom have gone on to become successful businessmen, surgeons, and politians both in NZ and overseas.
