Tuesday! A special meeting of Bellingham’s Historic Preservation - TopicsExpress

Tuesday! A special meeting of Bellingham’s Historic Preservation Commission will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30, to review a proposal to nominate downtown Bellingham for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. At the meeting, downtown property owners, businesses and the general public can learn more about the proposal. The meeting will be 6 to 8 p.m. in Mount Baker Theatre’s Walton Theatre Room, 104 N. Commercial St. Being added to the national register is an honorary designation that imposes no additional requirements or regulations to properties, said Project Manager Katie Franks. Benefits of being on the register can include greater historical and tourist recognition, and eligibility for grants and tax credits. Details: Franks, [email protected] or 360-778-8388.
