Tuesday August 14, 2013 CSA meeting with Opposition 1. Memorandum of understanding from Negotiations a. Pension b. $50,000 towards Education and Medical funds c. Housing d. Agency Fee etc. 2. CPSA request for Diplomatic Passports for Presidents of the Unions 3. CPSA/Trade Union Chair at CARICOM 4. Emancipation – Public Workers to be allowed to participate in the election process freely without hindrance. Time off without pay to be given or vacation can be utilized. Job must be protected for the worker to return to work. Giving service to country is an honour and a privilege and must be treated as such. - Barbados, Canada and other countries 5. A member of the CSA union to be elected as an independent senator representing the interest of public sector workers and the country at large. 6. The required Tripartite relationship between government, Trade Unions and Private Sector 7. The politicians must try to unite the country/people and refrain from any action that will cause or create division among the populace. 8.* Universal Health Care – VAT on medication 9.* Universal Education *Numbers 8 and 9 was brought up and discussed by the Political Leader and their necessity was expanded by the union
