Tuesday, August 5: I have posted a few pictures and videos today so I will have a short post tonight. Today my thoughts have been on the scripture I have talked about before - my favorite scripture. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your Heart. Psalms 37:4. Today God blesses me with several of the desires of my heart, desires of Dane’s heart. Dane fished this morning catching 10 nice sized fish. He took a nap and then for the first time since the week before the accident, he returned to roping practice at his coach, Gary Ledford’s ranch. Our group that was always there every Tuesday was there and we had a great time of celebration and of course – roping. Dane roped on a “horse saver”, so he was in no danger. But is the closest you can get to actually doing it. It is how they start every practice. I was so proud of him and his “can do” attitude. He would have roped as long as someone pushed calves in the chute. Such a HUGE victory for us. So today embodied all that Dane loves, the desires of his heart. How awesome to watch God work. Only God can put together a day like that 10 weeks after a head trauma!!! We were interviewed by RFD-TV and Amy from the network was so kind. We are so grateful for all they have said and done on Dane’s behalf. It has been an awesome few days to be at home. We always go through our day with Dane seeing what he can remember – today he remembered all of it! Just looking at the videos and the pics I took today, I know I see the hand of God – He is all over it. Praise be to God who is in the details………..Sunday’s coming
