Tuesday July 29, 2014, 7 pm to 9 pm scheduled, Community Forum on Baltimore City Curfew, University of Baltimore John and Frances Angelos Law Center, Moot Court, primary speakers were Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts, Councilman Mosby, a City curfew representative, audio and video documentation of the protestors, the City of Baltimore representatives, the invited speakers, the community citizens, with speeches, questions and answers. Some take aways, the meeting did not start on time, 7:30 pm, the seats were half occupied, the prepared speeches were often long, not concise, some rambling, which disturbed some of the attendees as taking too much time before Q&A. The questions were to the point and specific to each ones experiences. The answers sometimes were evasive and further details should be researched. The take-away thoughts was that there is much more to prepare for in regards to the curfew law and procedures. Not all has been prepared for . Not enough of professional expertise is known to assist with the curfew ramifications and to youth needs. There was too many attendees with their hands up that did not have the chance to be heard. The meeting should have been extended for at least 30 more minutes, but the UofB had a time deadline to close the event. There should be at least one more Community Forum on Baltimore City Curfew and laws.
