Tuesday, June 18th, 7pm, at the CASD Middle School Auditorium, Thomas Jones will speak on the history of the Geo Taylor and his home in Catasauqua. The land was part of Chawton Manor, previously farmed by one of the Craig Settlement group and comprised pretty much all of what is currently south Catty. The house is still 98% intact, thanks to the great original architecture and the subsequent owners who maintained it as a single family home - and the county for restoring it. Mr. Jones did a thorough study of the history and developed plans for the borough for how to best use the property - lots of ideas for involving young people. Come hear the history and plans. Free.
