Tuesday, March 18th inspired by Dr. Robert Glover Understanding Time and God’s Role “May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 115:15 Gradually, over time, I came to realize what a great gift, an opportunity, I am granted to be allowed to make the best of another day. As I often say, “another day, another opportuni-tay.” (emphasis mine) I would not be here if He, Father-God Almighty, did not allow me to be here. “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17 God’s Holy Word, Scripture, the Bible, tells us that “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up.” Ecclesiastes 3:13 We, as mankind, are temporarily and momentarily positioned into dimensions of time. Time serves as a unit or marker of measurement. Since we exist in pockets of time, many of us relate to present-day reality based on our very limited perception of time. Unfortunately many of us may end up judging God based on our very limited perception of what happens to people during epochs of time. God stands outside of time. God’s role with the time that He created and allows us to be in, for the time being, is interesting and can be a bit confusing. Scripture tells us, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth “ Genesis 1:1. Jesus, the Word, boldly proclaims in Revelation that I am the Alpha and the Omega, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. For those who are in Christ, What an awesome promise it is to know “that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your encouraging words of hope and promise. “May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth and eternity (emphasis mine).” Psalm 115:15 Amen.
