Tuesday May 20, 2017 (day 133) A Happy, Happy Birthday to Jasons Dad Miles! Thank you for all your love and support, especially the last couple of years. Next year we will be able to celebrate properly with a meal and cake. (Yes....I know you dont eat cake.....but Lisa, Cathy, Cayley and I will!) lol. 🎂 Jay had a great night, which continued right into the the afternoon.....sleeping wise that is. He was a tired, tired boy. Doctors came in with the results of yesterdays X-ray. No issues with the Gtube.....just showing a lot of gas and stool in there. There is no blockage and Jays having regular bowel movements so no worries there. The gas is from the procedure itself when they put in the tube. Movement (walking) will help to work it out. As for the pain itself, they are hesitant to increase the Hydromorphone. (Morphine) as, like Ive said in the past, it causes constipation. Jay still has no appetite......he tried one bite of orange jello (his favorite) today at lunch. He couldnt even swallow it before he was looking for the basin. We did mention his lack of appetite to the doctor this morning, and he is going to take a look at options. The one med Jay is on --Nabilone-- is suppose to increase appetite....maybe they will increase it??? Physio came in and asked Jay if he wanted to try walking. Although he wasnt feeling the best, he said he would try. He only walked about 4 meters but it was more then he has walked in 3 days. I was so proud that he even tried!!! 😃. Afterwards we decided to go for a walk. He was in the wheelchair anyways...lol. We went down to the food court and I grabbed a booster juice, we hit the gift shop to get Jay some gum, and then went to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.....along with every smoker in the hospital. Haha. The rest of the afternoon was spent scratching lottery tickets, wearing moon boots, snuggling, doing leg and foot exercises and of course watching TV. I think Jay had a bit better of a day.....he keeps saying it was crappy. When I ask why? He says he feels nauseas and aches all over. I reminded him that he has been nauseas and achy for the last little while....but today the belly pain was better, and he walked!! So....some things remained the same....and some improved. I guess at this point we have to look at the positives, no matter how small they may seem. ❤️ Hugs, xo TYD
