Tuesday Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, it was such a blessing this past Sunday to visit the nursing homes in Owingsville and conduct services there. Particularly inspirational was we way that many residents could sing the old hymns of the church even though some of them could not recognize their own family members. It go me to thinking about the songs I know and the ones I would hope to sing if I was to be in similar circumstances. The first one to come to mind was The Love of God where the hymnist talks about every stalk on earth a quill, every man a scribe by trade, the oceans filled with ink and the sky a parchment and yet not being able to accurately describe your love. The second one was Amazing Grace. Lord, I want to leave this world loving you after having a full life and never forget that it is grace from The Old Rugged Cross that secures my home in Heaven. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
