Tuesday Night Talk -Tala Mai... do you have advice for this sister? Hi NIU, I have something that I need advice on but dont know where to start. Ive been with my partner for nearly two years and everything has been great, or so I thought. I have just recently found out he has been lying to me about things. My partner, some mates and I went out and had a good time. We all had a couple of drinks and everyone dropped like flies (to go to bed). My partner and I waited till we sobered up and headed back home to go and sleep. We started talking about things on the way home like how much fun we had, how it was good to go out with our friends, then out of nowhere he mentioned something to do him lying. I admit I overreacted but I am now engaged to this guy, why didnt he open up before we made this commitment to each other? We started to argue and he got really worked up about it, then he hit me, then punches and kicks me. I did slap him too but his were hard and sore. I pretty much got beaten up. This has never happened before. I cried and said that I dont know if we should be together. He said he didnt like hitting me and I should leave him, but then he had to say he would go back to his old ways if we split up and that Im the only one that can stop him from heading back in the wrong direction. So this is where I am confused now, I know I should leave him and move on but there is a part if me that wants to stay and get married and have children with him. To be honest I am scared that no one else would want me so that makes me stay. What should I do?
