Tuesday, November 4, 2014: We need your help in figuring out who or what caused the explosion that rocked houses in the northwest portion of Hubbard Township near Everett East Rd and the Coalburg Lake area late Sunday afternoon. We received many calls and there were many FB posts and inquiries about a loud explosion on Sunday around 4:50 p.m. Officers checked the area but didn’t find anything smoking or damaged at that time. Earlier today, Hubbard Township and Brookfield Township officers searched through the woods around Coalburg Lake looking for evidence that would indicate an explosion occurred but they also came up empty handed. If you have any information on who may be involved or if you know the source of the explosion, please leave a message for Chief Coonce at 330-534-8477, extension 359.
