Tuesday, November 4th is Election Day -- that should come as no surprise, given the endless political ads. On Wednesday, November 5th, that will finally come to an end. The mid-term elections are notorious for low voter turn-out. However, these are precisely the elections when each vote counts. Since there is a tendency for people to be complacent when there is not a Presidential election and when there is the feeling that there is political grid-lock, this is the time to vote and have your voice be heard. Given the violence in the world, we are so fortunate to have the ability to express differing opinions and the means for the orderly transition of power. We have an obligation to exercise this right. So, no matter the weather come Tuesday or how busy your schedule, please take the time to vote and do a community service by offering a ride to someone who may have difficulty getting to the polls. If you have a spare hour or two, volunteer at the polls or choose whatever candidate or cause that is important to you and ask how you can help -- volunteers are ALWAYS needed. We can all make a difference - if we choose to.
