Students and their parents are encouraged to attend the Golden Circle College Fair. This is the largest college fair in Iowa. It will be held September 28 from 12:30-3:00 pm at the Iowa Events Center-Hy Vee Hall in Des Moines. High school boys going out for basketball: If you are interested in ordering team basketball shoes this year, shoe order sheets are available in the office. The deadline to order shoes is Friday, Sept.26. Checks payable to West Fork Schools are due when you place your order. Contact Coach Schnoes if you have any questions. Junior class students - sign up to sell tickets at the home football games for the 50/50 raffle. This is a fundraiser for After-Prom. You can sign up for one of the 3 remaining home games in the office. The Franklin County Conservation Board Hunter’s Safety Course at Maynes Grove Lodge – Tuesday, Oct. 7, 6-9 pm, Thursday Oct. 9, 6-9 PM, and Saturday, Oct. 11, 8 am- 1 PM. The course is open to anyone 11 or older and attendance all 3 days is required. Individuals must sign up on the Iowa DNR’s website at iowadnr.gov/huntered. Softball certificates and letters and/or pins can be picked up in the office. October 1 – Manufacturing Day, hosted by Sukup Manufacturing and NIACC.
