Tuesday midnite update. As it turns out, doctors dont always agree on everything. The lead ICU doc does NOT want to perform the tracheostomy tomorrow. The kidney doctors cant agree on whether dialysis is needed so the ICU doc is ordering dialysis tomorrow to clean the toxins from her body because some of those toxins could be preventing her from getting her off the respirator. He said that a trach procedure is not necessary for another 3-5 days and doing it now has no benefit for getting her off the respirator. Part of the consideration is that theyve seen notable improvement since last Friday. Special thanks today go out to Bob and Jane Vick, Terry Rust, Joan Dial (who visited on her birthday) and Kim McCord. Tonight, the doctors saw the map with pushpins for prayers and they were impressed, saying it was an awesome idea.
