Tuesday morning already? Monday just flew like the wind that gave me a new hairdo yesterday! The leaves have dropped so fast now, it just makes you realize how close winter is. The more birthdays I have, the less I like the cold and bleakness of winter, but we can find beauty in it if we try hard enough. I went and visited Brian yesterday when I made my monthly trip to Chester. He has lots of chocolates to help him through, so that always makes him smile. Its one of the hardest things I do, but I try to find beauty in the situation, too. Part of me always wants to just pull him out of there and do something to make his situation better. But things are what they are, and I can really do is accept the harsh reality of the situation and know that he is loved and cared for, and in this winter season of his life, there will be a spring for him. And I pray. If you are dealing with situations in your life that seem like an endless winter, try to find the good in it. Maybe you cant fix it or change no matter how hard you try; sometimes all you can do is deal with the day-to-day and know that spring and renewal will come...either on this earth or in heaven. Thats why I pray. There is more to this life than what we can see, and a lot more than we know. Try to brighten a dark spot and be the light for those who dont have any. There is hope! Have a blessed day - and if you come across someone with a frown today, just remember you dont know their life situation, and that frown isnt directed to you, just life in general. Smile when its hard, and laugh whenever you can. Thank You Father God for reminding me that this life is more than I can comprehend, and help me send a little of your love and grace into this world. A little seed of hope and mercy goes a long way with You...all we can do is plant. Thank you Jesus...amen
