Tuesday night was not good for me. Coming from native villageVelur to Ernakulam has become very rhythmic Preparing the 2 bags [one modern and the other traditional].taking lunch a bit early [12 noon] so that I can have a short customary noon nap, calling the auto [Unnikrishnan], catching the bus to Wadakancheri Railway Station, [ going from the road to the station -a distance of 30 odd metres- with the luggage slowly walking step by step], was more boring than tedious. The auto-greed is typical of our social condition and conscience. A man on the Bus stop volunteered to take the luggage. Taking ticket saying : one senior citizen Ernakulam North ad paying the increased fare Rs 30 [formerly Rs 25] My next stop is the platform tea shop where they will oblige me with boiling hot strong tea ad vada..The owner Lady was not there. A youngster was runnig the show ......must be her son. He was matter of fact ad said that I will have to wait...When waiting was producing no positive moves I said I will drink your tea next time when I come Undaunted by my sarcasm he said smiling for the first time Very nice of you, Sir! All the time the man carrying the luggage was enjoying his time. I told him my usual compartment in the Veaad Express is the third from the engine. The train came . When I started to pay the man who helped me with my luggage, he refused to accept. I just pushed the note into his pocket saying it is okay. In side the train I got 3 seats entirely for my use till Ernakulam North. I stretched myself conveniently for a second nap till Ankamali where the sharp Cha chayee woke me up to remind the unfulfilled chaaya at the platform. Eve though there are plenty of seats for every body there was a hub ub at the door
