Tuesday – 8 July 2014 Reading: Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth. Reflection: The things that we focus on become the things that consume our thoughts on a daily basis. They say that we become what we focus on. We start to live out those things every day and we find that our minds are consumed by thoughts of those things. We read in Isaiah, Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee. As we focus our thoughts on the Lord, as we occupy our minds with things from Him, we find that we are more conscious of Him and what He would have us do every day. There is a greater urgency to read more of the Word, so pray more, to be more involved in the life of the local congregation because our focus has shifted. The issues that we face can become all-consuming and we can find ourselves in the place where we are so focused on the things that bother us, that the worship of our Lord is crowded out. Remind yourself today that you are a child of the most High God, That He loves you with a love that is so deep, rich and real, that we will set our minds on Him for the day, and live in His love. Keep your mind focussed on Him and He will direct your paths! Remind yourself that there is nothing to difficult for Him! He wants to meet you at your point of need today! Breath-prayer: Father.
