Tuesdays Birding Tip Some birds are really secretive and the key to locating them is to know their distinctive call and/or song. The Winter Wren is an annual winter visitor to the Panhandle and North Florida. It can often be found foraging around cypress knees, fallen trees and brush in wet habitats, particularly cypress swamps. Male Winter Wrens are very territorial even in winter. They will often sing early in the morning and sometimes at dusk.
