Tuesdays PM Message From Bo Sanchez ALLOW YOUR GOD TO INVADE YOUR WORLD I have a confession to make. During my younger days as a young lay missionary, I used to do only religious things. Id pray, read the Bible, lead prayer meetings, go to Mass, and evangelize. Today, I still do all that. But I now do more worldly” things. And enjoy them. For example? I get a thrill running my tiny businesses. I enjoy reading books on all non-spiritual subjects imaginable. I love to take my morning walk and do my Tai-Chi. I love the outdoors—beaches, farms, and mountains. And would you believe? I like working with people who dont have the same faith as I have. New Agers. Atheists. Muslims. Agnostics. Non-Religious. Let me tell you why Ive become less religious: Ive realized that God wants to invade my entire world—not just my religious world. You see, I gave my life to Him 35 years ago. In the past, whenever I wanted to meet my God, Id do something spiritual. Id pray. Or read the Bible. Or attend a prayer meeting. But recently, He has conquered my world. I thought Hed just stay in church—quiet, safe, and predictable. But when I least expected it, He exploded through the church doors and kicked them off its hinges, and charged towards me. Today, I dont have to do anything purely spiritual to meet Him. Now, I meet God in the most secular, most worldly activities. When Im watching a movie, He squeezes Himself in the seat beside me, munching popcorn. And when Im with friends eating pizza, Hes also there sharing our jokes, passing the hot sauce. When Im walking in the mall, He insists on strolling with me. When Im conducting my various tiny businesses, selling my stuff—I feel Hes excited as I am in making it prosper. When I work with people of different beliefs, I still see Gods image in them. The boundaries between the sacred and the secular have blurred. The demarcation lines between the holy and the worldly have broken down. I now love being human. (I think being human is simply phenomenal.) Let me say it again: My God has conquered my world. And I will never be alone. May your dreams come true, Bo Sanchez
