Tuesdays SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK has NO THUNDERSTORMS forecast, strong or severe, anywhere across our Nation for this afternoon or evening hours. TUESDAYS NATIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FORECAST BY: David Saurer, Forecaster We are looking at some of the chilliest air of the early Winter season taking a grip over most of the Central and Western portions of our Nation on this Tuesday AM. The cold Arctic high pressure over the Northern Plains is continuing to dig South and Southeastward to the Southern Plains by Tomorrow PM. There will be some upslope flow in the Rockies that will aid in some light snowfall that will spread into the Central and Southern Plains by Tomorrow PM. Also, we will see some upslope flow over the Lower Rio Grande Valley that will help to produce some light rain showers for this region through this afternoon and into Wednesday. An upper level low pressure center will begin to develop over the Desert Southwest and Southern California beginning to spread into the Great Basin for later on today and through Wednesday. This system is expected to develop some light snow showers over the Great Basin for This Afternoon and then spread into the Desert Southwest for Wednesday. Light rain showers will be in the forecast for parts of Southern California into the warmer valleys of the Desert Southwest for Wednesday. Back in the Eastern portions of our Nation, an upper level energy shortwave disturbance over the Ohio Valley will help trigger a wave of low pressure along the frontal boundary just off the Southeastern Coast for today. The energy is producing some light snow showers over the Central Appalachians with rain showers in the warmer air over the Southern Mid-Atlantic for later this morning and in through the afternoon. Light rain showers will also develop over portions of the Florida Peninsula near a lingering frontal boundary over the Southern parts of the state through Tomorrow PM. Finally, we are seeing some upper level energy moving over the Upper Great Lakes will trigger a few light snow showers over parts of the region through Wednesday PM.
