Tulo the dog was raring to go and investigate his Pasadena neighborhood at 6 oclock in the morning on January 1. The combination of canned amplified hymnal music and acoustic Hari Krishna singing certainly could have caught his attention. The crowd was certainly lighter than previous years; the cold weather -- for Southern Californians -- must have kept people at home. But there still were plenty of crazies, including this group with literally a cord of chopped wood by their outdoor fire. I may figure out the timing and go out there when Alhambras Go for Broke float passes by. I shudder to think how Tulo will react when the Blue Angels fighter jets fly ahead.
