Tulsa Zoo Plans 25th Annual HallowZOOeen Spooky Way to Support the Tulsa Zoo, Oct. 27-31 The Tulsa Zoo will transform into a wonderland of candy and costumes for its 25th annual HallowZOOeen, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct 27-31. This Tulsa tradition provides a spooky, but not-too-scary, family-friendly trick-or-treating option. This fundraising event runs for five nights, so you can start trick-or-treating early or make the zoo your Halloween evening destination. HallowZOOeen 2014 will showcase treasured treats with Burger King Royal Castle and American Airlines Pirate Island. Burger King’s Royal Castle summons all princesses and princes for royal court activities, such as coloring, kid-safe archery and a princess on parade catwalk. The American Airlines Pirate Island pirate ship will feature a swashbuckling adventure for brave young pirates. HallowZOOeen guests can take a tour through the American Airlines Haunted House or take a spin on the Haunted Train and Cross-Eyed Carousel. Kids of all ages will enjoy the CommunityCare Pumpkin Patch Playroom with a hay maze, pumpkin decorating and carnival games. Most importantly, no HallowZOOeen is complete without 3 tons of candy. Sponsored Goblin Stops will line the zoo to provide a safe trick-or-treating environment where your kiddos can fill up their goodie bags. Tulsa Zoo’s HallowZOOeen will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 27-31. Buy tickets in advance to skip the lines. Tickets can be purchased online at tulsazoo.org/boo or at the Tulsa Zoo during regular business hours, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost for admission is $8 for ages 1 and older and $7 for Tulsa Zoo Friends members. The Haunted Train is back with spooky, but–not-too-scary, surprises around every turn for only $5. Kids can take a spin on the Cross-Eyed Carousel for only $1. HallowZOOeen guests can explore Zoorassic Park, a temporary exhibit that goes extinct on Nov. 10. Zoorassic Park admission is $5 for non-members and $4 for Tulsa Zoo Friends members. In addition to providing a safe trick-or-treating option, HallowZOOeen is also an important fundraiser to help build a better zoo. HallowZOOeen 2014 would not be possible without our sponsors.
