Tumblr has had a bit of an emergency these past days. For those who don’t know, anonymous people have been spamming inboxes on Tumblr full of hate mail driving people to suicide. I’ve gone undercover as well as countless others and we believe we know their motives. We believe, in short, they want to bring down Tumblr and the fandoms. Through what I’ve seen they’ve been planning something big for New Year’s Day. I believe that they plan to inbox anyone with hate. This will most likely cause or influence many suicides. But the way they plan to do this? They of course have blogs. So instead of anonymously spamming them, they will spam them with the hate mail from their blogs as well. This is why we need everyone to turn off their ask boxes and communicate instead through submits or posts. We can prevent this and can prevent the death of people. Please, I know I may not 100% know what’s exactly going to happen, but please turn off your ask box anyway. This is a precaution to something horrific and will hopefully prevent something really bad happening. Post this on Tumblr, on Facebook, anywhere as long as people see this. People want people dead. Please help us do something about it. #TumblrFamilyStayStrong – Post this and make everyone aware of it! Keep safe, stick with friends and please turn off you’re inbox/messages completely. Thank you. And if possible completely stay off Tumblr on New Year’s Eve/Day PLEASE POST THIS ANYWHERE!!!
