Tuna Noodle Casserole..... An all time classic comfort food Tuna Noodle Casserole and although this is not the traditional recipe that you may be used to, its outcome is equally as delicious! This one unlike many that you have undoubtedly seen before does not used canned soup, but never fear; the pet milk and addition of the Parmesan cheese gives it the creaminess factor needed, plus when those yummy peas burst in your mouth you wont even miss it being soup-less :) Ingredients: 1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles 3 tablespoons butter 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 tablespoon salt 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon black pepper 1 can (12 ounces) pet/evaporated milk 1/2 onion, chopped fine 4 cloves garlic, chopped fine 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 2 (6 ounce) can tuna in water, drained 1 (6 ounce) can tuna in oil, *not drained 2 cups frozen peas Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) Coat a 2 quart casserole dish with cooking spray In a large pot of salted water, boil noodles until al dente, drain well In a large heavy skillet combine flour, butter, onion, fresh garlic and all seasonings Stir until butter is melted and ingredients are combined evenly Add pet milk, and whisk until the sauce thickens (usually it is at the proper consistency by the time it begins to boil) Add Parmesan cheese to mixture, and whisk until cheese is melted and mixture is well blended Stir in tuna, peas, and noodles Spread evenly in prepared dish Cover with shredded Cheddar cheese Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes ✿✿If you love recipes and DIY ideas - join my free group for more -> fb/groups/Luv2Cook ✿✿Join here for healthier recipes ->https://facebook/groups/taynab/ Check out Skinny Fiber so you can enjoy some of these great recipes in moderation without feeling guilty!! taynab.skinnyfiberplus
