On the show you can expect to hear classic material from pioneering groups like the Fearless Four, Eric B. & Rakim, and the Geto Boys along with the hottest solo emcees of the era like Nas, Ras Kass, Too Short and M.C. Lyte. Throughout the show I give you my unedited commentary on music that I love and have experienced first-hand growing up in hip-hop. One of the unique aspects of The Goin Way Back Show is the featured interview with classic artists. What make the show’s feature interviews special are the strong relationships Ive developed in the industry with artists coming up from that same exciting era in hip-hop. Ive been in the game for almost 25 years and Ive met and know many of your favorite emcees better than most people! Touring with these artists during that era provides the show with stories that only The Goin Way Back Show With Money B can deliver! Im joined each week by my co-host Ton Teezy bringing you the Old School New News - which consist of current news about classic artists. Also present is Dj Alwayz mixing in your favorite old school hits! We feature segments including Classic Battle where historic emcee battles on wax are resurrected for your listening pleasure. Another segment is “Double Play” where well play two songs that share a common theme (same artist, region of origin, subject…etc.). Then we have “Where Did That come From” where we play a song that uses lyrics or samples from a previous classic then follow it by playing the original. Lastly, there’s “Old To The New”, where we feature new music from classic artists.
