Tune for the Day (Monday) - made passing reference to my two - TopicsExpress

Tune for the Day (Monday) - made passing reference to my two brothers yesterday. I am the youngest of three, with almost exactly 6 years between us (Germanic family planning?). That makes my oldest bro a little over 12 years older, than me, and the other one, a little less than 6. Have little memory of my oldest bro living at home (he got thrown out when he was 17), while my other bro & I used to fight like the proverbial cats & dogs, while we were both living at home (the bastard ALWAYS got the front seat in the car, as he was the elder bro ... while I was the annoying little brother always coming into his room, when he had friends over). Anyhow, one of the advantages of having older brothers, was that they got to introduce you to good music (that`s why my liking of Carl Douglas`s `Kung Fu Fighting` - fortunately - didn`t last for too long). My older brother, Juergen (the one at home, 6 years older) owned `Beggar`s Banquet` by The Rolling Stones. I didn`t get into the Stones until a good few years later (it was The Beatles for me, in my younger years), but they had many a classic whether `Gimmie Shelter`, `Mother`s Little Helpers`, `Paint It Black`, `Ruby Tuesdays`, `Yesterday`s Papers`, ... `Beggar`s Banquet` had `Sympathy for the Devil` & `Street Fighting Man` on it. I know the Stones mostly for their singles, but think `Beggar`s Banquet` may have been the highpoint of their career (rather than `Exile on Main St.`, favoured by many). They also, probably, should have broken up by the late 70s or early 80s, before they turned into their own covers band. Anyhow `Beggar`s Banquet` is the one Stones` album I`d be familiar with, so here it isn`t just the singles. So along with the well known singles listed above, the album track `Jigsaw Puzzle` joins my list So here it is in all its glory (stereo edit).
