Tune into 3BOfm (93.5fm) we are live on air from 10am – 12am, and are having a sausage sizzle from 11am. Our main purpose today is to help promote and support the ANZAC Day message, Lest We Forget. We will be interviewing 2 Vietnam Veterans Local RSL President Cliff Richards and Paul Byrne’s father Peter Byrne. • Cliff Richards will be discussing the upcoming ANZAC Day service at Charing Cross, including the welcoming home of post 1975 veterans including Iraq and Afghanistan troops, a 102 y.o. Veteran Arthur Hibbirt to lead the car cavalcade, and the attendance of Rear Admiral Michael Noonan, Commander Border Protection. • Peter Byrne who was a gunner, a member of the 106 Battery, part of the 4th Field Regiment Artillery, who toured from April 67-March 68. Peter has been to every Anzac Day march since his return in 1968 till now, and has seen huge changes from the initial years of abuse and non-acknowledgement until now, the outpouring of gratitude and respect of which every serving officer is entitled to receive. He will discuss his involvement with the RSL and the change in community perception to returned servicemen and women. We hope everyone can come down to say hello, have a sausage and buy an ANZAC badge and support a great cause. Lest We Forget
