Tuned in to watch Marstons prog on Channel 5 last night......6mins later I wished I had made some toast instead! Rant part 1: What happened to interesting broadcasting? Al Murrays witless narration of this woefully stupid piece of tv suitable for a brainless or demented 8 yr old! Rant part 2: Marstons is a very interesting brewery with a unique Union system, probably last one still working. It has brewed for over 200 yrs in what was the capital of the brewing industry and brews the excellent Pedigree bitter. All moans aside about fings aint what they used ta be ......there is so much more to this brewery and the process and heritage of brewing that Joe Public might have wanted to hear about. Instead we were treated to juvenile innuendo about sparklers, and hand pulls. Its because of tosh like this that people think a pint of smoothflow, is anything to do with beer. It isnt and neither is the sparkler, widget, spigots or top pressure. Channel 5 have mocked a proud industry. Shame Marstons
