Turning up ancestors with interesting names is part of the fun of digging through family history. Recently I came across one Hezekiah Hand, my 5x paternal great-grandfather and second-oldest of 9 children born to Nehemiah and Lydia Hand. Hezekiah married 3 times and made a strenuous effort to help populate New Jersey by fathering at least 14 - perhaps as many as 19 (Im still sifting through details) - children. Another great alliterative name is Karolina Karlicek (maternal great-grandmother). In the really unusual category is Ettie Izora Johnson (paternal great-grandmother). But my favorite name of all Ive found so far is the incomparable Damaris Buckmaster (Hilarys 9x paternal great-grandmother). Love that name!
