Tuscaloosa Citizen’s Police Academy The Tuscaloosa Police Department is now accepting applications for the 7th class of the Tuscaloosa Citizen’s Police Academy. This upcoming academy class will run from February 2, 2015 to March 23, 2015. The classes will be held every Monday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Tuscaloosa Police Department and one Saturday class at the Tuscaloosa Police Firing Range. The Tuscaloosa Citizen’s Police Academy is an educational program designed to provide members of our community with the opportunity to gain specific knowledge about the philosophy and processes of the Tuscaloosa Police Department as well as valuable insight into the field of Law Enforcement. The Citizen’s Police Academy is open to all residents of the City of Tuscaloosa and Business owners that hold a Tuscaloosa City Business License may also attend. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. The Citizen’s Academy is free of charge. Applications can be picked up at the front desk of the Tuscaloosa Police Department or online at Tuscaloosa/pd under the Police Departments Link. The deadline for turning in applications is Friday, December 31, 2014 at 4:00 pm.
