Tux Man has joined his friends at Rainbow Bridge today. He has been a fixture here forever. We estimate his age to be about 20 years old. I was looking for a picture of him to post, a picture from better days, and I saw so many pics of other kitties that have passed, ones that I have not shared yet. So many have gone in the past 12 months, many favorites, many well knowns. I hesitated to post them individually because I could not take the pain of all the comments, but I thought you should know. I am sorry for so much sadness at once, and Im still reeling from some of them, but we never know how long or short any living being has here. Our job is to love. There is no time limit. So I publicly say goodbye to the following friends from last year: Thing 2 Midnight, the diabetic cat from hell Little Buddy aka Galaxy Feline leuk brother and sister kittens from RI Happy Miss Grump Oreo of Second Ave Trooper Squirt Mr. Sneatcha Vanessa Precious Yukon From this year: Rainbow Mr. Insane Little Prince Bunny Boy Reiger Cutie Marvin of Main Street Priscilla of Canada Mr. Man Bernie of Jay Street Spitfire Belly Boy Bottle feds born on stairs Rizzo kitttens Amanda, door climbing kitty Billybob Shyshy of RI Wanda Summerset Tica CC Hissy I knew this year would be hard. So many hitting ripe old ages from when I started taking in kitties. So many hitting that 3-5 year age that feline leuk cats usually dont grow past. I have some on watch currently from the early days that I know will be following shortly. I look at all the pictures of lives I have touched and lives that have touched me. Many are not here anymore. Many more will come. It is a crazy thing to love beings that have shorter lifespans than our own, but I suppose it is a blessing that they do indeed go before we do and an even greater blessing that those beings are all a part of me. They all teach me so much about life and living.
