Twas a great feeling to share a variety of sumptuous Ilocano cuisine at Victorinos Restaurant ( along Scout Rallos corner 11th Jamboree Streets, Timog, Quezon City) with SSEAYP and KB allies whose friendship has withstood the test of time...Hats off to Engineer Claro Maranan, now Administrator of the National Irrigation Administration who hosted the dinner intended to celebrate life and share blessings...Tourism Director for Southern Tagalog Rebecca Labit, former NYC Commissioner Benjie Oliva, former Puerto Princesa topnotch City Councilor Rowena Obeda Acosta-Mercado ( now US based), Cavite province Medical Mission chief Matchie Figueroa from the Office of Governor Remulla, Gawad Kalinga Project Director Willy Bautista, Philippine Electrical Engineers Association President Arthur Lopez, NYC Regional Youth Development Division Chief Mel Santella, Jr., Beth Tayam, (wife of colleague Boyet Tayam) , an accomplished nurse in the Texas, USA; businesswoman/entrepreneur/travel bug Laura Co, educator and hobbyist painter Ike Estalilla, Accounting buff Marites Villanueva and multi tasker par excellence Connie Carino...The evening was capped with spoonfuls of Chef Heny Sisons Red Velvet cake and Cashew Sans Rival ..downed by Lemon Grass juice and camomile tea...in between constant reminders of blood sugar levels and maintenance meds for hypertension and heart problems caused by work related stress..and lots of photo ops..i felt asleep on the way home..
