“ ‘Twas the Night.” A hush fell in Heaven. Not a sound, not a word. All ears were strained waiting, a sound from Earth heard. The silence was so deafening as stillness rang Heaven through. Its breath held in expectation, “Would it be, A New?” ‘Twas this the night, that Holy Night, all Angelic waited for? The Earth sent a Savior, “Was it He at Earth’s door?” Glowing stars hushed their twinkle, as the quiet fell to Earth. All in anticipation, of the Son of God’s birth on Earth. Every Angel anxiously waiting, some straining on bended knee. To hear God send the “Breath of Life,” that would be known, to set men free. Then all at once that proclaiming gust, God’s “Breath of Life” did sing. And the Angel’s gasped when they heard it, Rejoice! “A Baby Crying!” C. E.
