Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Cozy Cat, Not - TopicsExpress

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Cozy Cat, Not a kitty was stirring, while they waited for the man in the hat. Their stockings were hung on enclosure doors with care, In hopes that Santa Claws soon would be there. The kitties were snuggled in warm little beds, While visions of having a family danced in their heads. Gretchen in her collar and Jerry in his tree, In the front room stood watch, they’d be the first to see. When out on the front porch, his tail with a whirl Was Rocky our friendly well-fed little squirrel. Away to the windows the kitties flew like a flash, Ellery and Charmin peeking, they made Rocky take off in a dash! On the adoption floor the night lights gave a faint glow, Illuminating the counters and the kittens below. When what to their wondering eyes should appear, But Santa Claws and his giant furry reindeer! He zipped through the backdoor as fast as could be, Blocking the escape of Valya and Ellie. He knew them all by name and petted head to tail, Stopping to visit each one without fail. Now Lydia! Now Fenton! Now Inez and Dundee! Come Fargo! Come Matrix! Come Skeeter and Demi! From the tops of the trees! From the shelves on the wall! Come my little purrbabies, come one and come all! Santa Claws can’t stay long; I have more places to go. But there are a few things I want you to know. While I can’t be here to play with you every day, I am happy that Cozy Cat is where you can stay. Cindi makes sure that all of you will be kept safe and warm, Adoption Counselors will help people find you and fill out your form. Volunteers will provide you with fresh water and food, Medical staff to take care of you, please don’t treat them so rude. And while you don’t always see them, the donors you should thank, They help to keep food in your bowls and gas in the van tank. Their dollars get stretched to cover medicine, rent, and treat, Cozy Cat can’t say too often we appreciate them -- they’re sweet! And now my little feline friends, I am afraid I must leave, But wait, I have one more surprise hidden up my sleeve. Cat in the Cottage (C.C.) please come to my sleigh, I am adopting you to give to Mrs. Claws on Christmas day. With that, Santa Claws took off in a scurry, Being chased by 100 tiny feet all in a flurry. And they heard him exclaim as he vanished from sight, May you all eventually find the family that fits you just right.
