Twas the night of How Bad Can We Screw Up One of the Most Simple Bible Stories... BEFORE I START: I *KNEW* there would be.. inaccuracies. Hollywood tends to do that with most historical docudramas.. I wanted to see for myself what all the hoopla was about.. So... IN MY OPINION: This epic event (recorded in Genisis.. aka... the beginning of time) was portrayed in more of a Mad Max like setting... desolate & futuristic.. Complete with the Nephilim revealed as huge rock beings, who aide in the construction of the ark.. eventually, the descendants of Cain meander up from the wilderness... an army of barbarians that Noahs middle son, Hamm, seems to be interested in... Noah (who- in biblical accounts- is a faithful man & a prophet) doesnt seem interested in saving their souls anymore than they are in listening... Fast foward thru a bunch of Rock people & Barbaric grungy folks fighting as the rain begins. In the end you end up with a Noah that *I* am convinced is schizo effective... who is of the belief that the end of man lies with his youngest, Japeth... UNTIL we see the first ever pregnancy test! Thats right.. spit on a rock that glows!!! I wont reveal much more.. just know there is a stow away on the ark... the massive ark I must say, along with the animals, was the most accurate part... With an added bonus of a little dab of Darwinism thrown in there.. but you have to really look for it. I really dont recommend this movie... unless you dont care about historical accuracy or biblical accuracy... feel free to draw your own conclusions tho.. just know that it isnt what you have ever ever thought it could be.
