Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the park All - TopicsExpress

Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the park All manner of creatures were out in the dark; The traps were set by the staff with great care, In hopes that a rat or a cat would appear; Actually more rabbits than anything about at the moment although had 4 hedgehogs and 2 rats in the docs this week. Daniel and Ash weeded the Pa Harakeke beds and will be most helpful over the holidays. I was working on funding applications and reports but did get down to Tuahiwi School to thank Kay-Lee and the students for their mahi this year. I also picked up some brochures from the printers (thanks Carolyn), koha stones from Mark and did some silver poplar spraying at the Tuahiwi urupa. Im out again tomorrow checking the traps and trails and meeting a boilermaker on site at the pa harakeke to discuss the conversion of the old incinerator into an above ground hangi and smoker. Dave from Conservation Volunteers NZ was in touch to arrange a couple of volunteer dates for early 2015 and chatted with Tim (Principal Rural Fire Officer). In real life, I bought tickets to see Noel Fielding in Wellington and intend bidding on a new exhaust for the guzzi.
