Twas the week before Finals, when all through the hall Not a creature was stress-free, not even the cum-laudi; The liquor was stored in the dorm room fridges with care, In hopes that Finals would still let them get there; The students were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of As danced in their heads; And friends in their sweats, and I in my cap, Had just sat down for a short, little nap, When outside the Library, there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my seat, my nap didnt matter. Away to the stairs I flew like a flash, Tore through the doors and went for a bash, As moonlight glistened on her phone in the snow, And the loud punk cried under stress below. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but University police, and suddenly the walk was clear, With a little old man, so lively and quick; I knew in a moment this would suck dick. More rapid than eagles his lackeys they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called us by name; Now, friend! now, Kid!, now, Punk and Brat! On, Son! on Girl! on, Student and Whack! To the top of the building! To the edge of campus wall! Now get down and quiet yourself, lose it all! As I got into my room and was turning around, Into the Res. Hall, University Police came with a bound. A blot of mud was sprayed across his back, And he looked like he was itching to use the taser in his pack. His eyes -- how they twinkled! Oh so scary! My face certainly wasnt that merry! A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had much to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to work And grabbed my wrists with quite the jerk. And laying his finger aside of my nose, And give a nod, to his car we rose; He sprang to the front seat, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all scattered like several angry missiles. But as he drove away, he told me one thing: Shouldve studied more and you couldve been king, But instead you lost your cool and thats going to bite; Tell your friends Good luck on finals, and to have a calm night!
