Twelve years ago today, I found the courage to ask Joe if I could start dating Ashleigh... double dates, friend hang-outs, countless dates with her brother tagging along for the fun. It was a long while before we could actually date alone, and Im very appreciative for that now. Fast forward seven years to 2009, we chose to be married on the same day. Its been an awesome twelve/five years, and I couldnt ask for a better best friend, soulmate, mother of mine, and all-around awesome person to spend my life with. Weve gained, weve lost, weve cried, weve laughed, but at the end of every night we pray. And thats the one part of our marriage, above all else... above the awesome food she cooks, the great personality, the way she loves Hallie, the patience she has with my crazy self... above it all, Im thankful that we share our love for each other not just through ourselves, but in Him.
