Twentieth Century Club News Moving on through the Dewey Decimal System, the ladies of the Twentieth Century Club of Garrettsville were entertained and enlightened by Mary Furillo in an expedition into the 100’s—Philosophy and Psychology. Leading in to this interesting territory, the roll call was answered—or not—with instances of the paranormal/supernatural/weird rhat members had experienced in their own lives, Strange doings! The 100’s contain a great miscellany of topics, from the Greek philosophers( who, in effect, discovered the mind in the 6th century) through dream de-coding ,through curious behaviors(yawning, coughing, sneezing, itching, scratching, other behaviors not discussed in polite company) and psychic connections to…whatever. Leah Schultz, program chairwoman, issued a heads-up for the annual Christmas exchange : Gift items are to be something…anything…homemade. There was also a heads-up concerning the budget, to be discussed at a later date . The hostess, Connie Crate and co-hostess Dorothy Watson served warm and tasty refreshments; early Trick-or-Treat, in effect. The next meeting will be on November 7 at the home of Bonnie Oliver. The 200’s cover religion.
